GENOCIDE is GENOCIDE
Kudos to President Biden for NOT vetoing the UN Security Council demand for an immediate cease fire and return of all of the hostages in the Israel/Gaza war. While I applaud and support Biden’s attempt to work out a diplomatic resolution to this war, it is not working. Israel’s retaliation for the Oct. 7 attack is hundreds of times disproportionate to the atrocity inflicted by Hamas, and increasingly directed at innocent civilians. Surely Netanyahu knows that even if he totally eliminates all of the Hamas leaders, another terrorist group will quickly rise up to fill the vacuum. Genocide is genocide, no matter what you call it, or how much you sugar-coat it, and this certainly seems to be Israel’s intent. The US must not be involved in condoning this in any way. The next step is to stop sending any direct or indirect military aid to Israel – the sooner the better.
